These days it seems like everyone has a reality show and is on their platform sharing their talent.
Yet you have not achieved your own goals and...you are not 20 or 25 or even 35 years old anymore. Does that mean God wants you to give up on your goals? Ever here the phrase 'Life (Sh$$) Happens'? Some people decide that life happens and therefore life has decided that they no longer have a right to dream.
Do you think the Lord feels this way about you? Are you one of those people??
There is a saying that goes "If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans." First, these words are not biblical. Actually, the Word says in Proverbs 16:3: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. The New International Version further clarifies with and your plans will succeed. God already knows your plans. He knows everything and all things before you think it.
So the question is how do you know if the Lord is with you?
Here is a faith building bootcamp workout that has benefited (and as a work in progress continues to benefit) me:
1. Make the commitment. As verse from Proverbs states: You must commit your works to the Lord. You may have to fully immerse yourself in the Word and spend serious time. And I mean be aggressive. Think of it is a training program for the mind. The Lord is constantly talking to us. Get quiet and listen.
2. Understand the truth. God loves you. Again, God Loves You. Again, the Lord loves You. You must get a strong understanding of this. This belief and foundation is pivotal in your moving forward and achieving your goal. To receive this understanding, you must deeply entrench in your heart His love. When you study, read the scripture aloud and the words will sink into your heart.
3. Remove the Blues. Again you are in training. Any activity that does not enhance hinders. Eliminate the television, specifically the news. Furthermore, avoid listening to or reading anything that negates all the hard work you are putting in to build your faith. This time frame is about cleaning out old concepts to move forward.
4. Did I say be quiet? We all know that words hold power, and it seems like every pop guru has guidance on how to live your best life through your speech or thoughts or both. Somewhere along the way, you are missing the mark to achieve your goal. Reduce your talking (that means complaining) and concentrate on what the Lord says. His Words are always right.
